Meet the First Grader

Well, it's official - Emma is in first grade and off on her way to 11 more years of school before heading off to Austin to be a Longhorn and the Class of 2025! So far she loves school and learning - she is reading very well for her age - but because she is my child, she has issues with NOT talking. Let's just say that Em has yet to master the art of not blurting out with the answer, raising her hand and simply keeping quiet while in class. As her teacher told Matt and I last week at the school's Open House, "Emma is a very eager child." Yeah...is that the P.C. term these days?
