Katie's First Haircut

A belated Happy New Year to everyone!

And sadly, now that the football season is over (well, except for the few teams left playing), we are quickly settling into our daily routine sans-football weekends. It is nice to have Sundays back, that is for sure (although we miss our friends and camaraderie at Nick's every week).

Yesterday I took Katie to get her first haircut - it was long overdue. The girl has wispy, curly hair and while so cute, was always in her eyes. While Em went with Matt to work for the afternoon, I took Katie over to Snipits, where Em always goes for cuts as well. What an experience! Katie was fine and having a ball until it was HER turn to sit in the chair and wanted NOTHING to do with it. She screamed and clawed, to the delight of every other parent there (and the place was packed) who has had to take their kid for their first cut. It was hysterical. The hairdresser - bless her heart - was patience and obviously trained for maniac-kids, and after we calmed the Katester down with animal crackers and her in my lap, we had success.

NOT a happy camper...

Voila!
