Katezilla

Katie just had her 18-month check-up and is officially 28 lbs (80th percentile) and 35 inches tall (80th percentile). She is growing like a weed and changing more and more every day, becoming Miss Independent and terrorizing everything in sight (hence Pop Pop's nickname of "Katezilla"). She is much more abrasive and fearless than Emma ever was at this age, and is such already such a tomboy. As we always joke, she will be spending A LOT of time in timeout in the coming years!

This past weekend we had to de-Katie the oven and put covers over the knobs, as she recently discovered she can reach them and figured out how to turn the gas on (much to Matt's surprise when night when he was cooking dinner and smelled gas!). Needless to say, she was not at all thrilled when she "discovered" she couldn't get to them anymore (and kindly threw a fit), or the door knobs around the house (yes, she can get to those too). 

One of her new things - besides being Em's shadow and always wanting to so what Em's doing (Em is a GREAT big sister and such a help) - is trying on and walking in every one's shoes. I wish I had gotten a pic of her "walking" in my Longhorn Crocs, but these are just as cute.
