This year Emma's 7th birthday fell on Easter, and while her "official" birthday party isn't until this Saturday (April 10) with her friends (at Incredible Pizza Company in Sugar Land), the whole family got together at Barry and Kathi's for a feast of steaks to celebrate Easter and of course, Em's birthday.
Time for opening the Easter baskets and emptying the eggs.
The birthday girl!
The adorable birthday cake Nana baked just for Em!
Funny story - at church in the morning, Matt was walking Katie around before service to let her blow off some steam since it was nearly nap time and she was rather restless. Our pediatrician's nurse, who we adore, and her family attend our church, too, and when Katie saw her while walking around, she immediately dropped her blanket and started screaming - apparently she does remember her being the lady who gives her the shots at the doctor!

Wow, Kathy did an AWESOME job on that cake! Adorable!
The story about Katie and the nurse at church was hilarious, what a smart girl! And they say kids don't remember much at early ages. RIGHT!
