Mommy, looking a bit tired, with Katie...
Another soothing bath...
Katie is still such an easy baby - eats (and don't get in the way of her bottle time!), sleeps and makes messy diapers pretty much every 3-4 hours, although sometimes stretches to five or even six hours. She's now much more alert during the day and loves hanging out in her swing. In other news, Emma is getting ready to start kindergarten at Austin Parkway Elementary on August 25. Hard to believe the Big Princess is already starting school! She is so very excited about starting "big girl" school, and is looking forward to learning to read and making new friends (as she says). We went shopping yesterday for some new clothes , and now need to focus on getting her school supplies all set before attending the elementary school's annual "KinderCamp" next Thursday. At this informal orientation, we'll meet Em's teacher, she'll get to mingle with some of her new classmates, check out the classroom and learn the ropes prior to the official first day.
The best part is that the elementary school is literally right across the street from our neighborhood, so Katie and I will be walking Em to school the first couple of weeks. Hopefully that will help Em with her transition, and make it easier on me, too!
Tonight we're venturing to Nick's for the Packers' second pre-season game against the 49ers, to catch up with everyone we haven't seen since the NFC Champ game in January and for folks to meet Katie. Can't wait - LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!
